The short version. We collect what you give us to join the waitlist or list a gym or coach profile. We use it to run Corner and to contact you about it. We don't sell it, and we don't use advertising trackers.
Who we are
Corner ("Corner", "we", "us") is a membership for combat-sports gyms in New York, operating at joincorner.co. Questions about this policy: support@joincorner.co.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email address, the date you joined, and which link brought you (for example a referral tag).
- Gym sign-ups: the gym's name, address and links; the contact person's name, role, email and phone; disciplines, facilities, photos, coaches, class schedule, prices, rules for Corner members, and anything else you choose to enter.
- Coach sign-ups: your name, email, phone, social handle, photo, coaching background, where you teach, rates, availability and related answers.
- Emails with us: the content of messages you send us.
- On your device: our forms save your progress in your browser so you don't lose it. That stays on your device and we can't see it until you submit.
We don't use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To review gyms and coaches before anything goes live, and to contact you about your listing.
- To email you about Corner's launch, your waitlist spot and founding-member offers. You can opt out at any time by replying to any email.
- To build and run the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Information a gym or coach submits for a public profile (such as gym name, address, photos, schedule, coach names, bios and rates) will be shown to members once you approve your listing. Contact details you give us for review are not shown publicly.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Corner, under their own privacy and security commitments:
- Vercel: website hosting and private file storage (United States).
- Resend: sending our emails.
- When payments launch, a payment processor (such as Stripe) will handle card and bank details. We will never ask for bank or card details on our sign-up forms.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and sign-up information while Corner is preparing to launch and for as long as you have a listing or account, then delete or anonymize it unless we need to keep it by law. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to be removed from the waitlist, by emailing support@joincorner.co. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights. We'll respond within 30 days and won't treat you differently for using them.
Security
Sign-ups are stored in private storage that is not publicly accessible, and only Corner's team can read them. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
Corner is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know by email.
